This is a good beginner’s guide overall and I learned several things there :). 1 Shovel – In case the one provided in the dungeon gets stolen.It’s not the end of the game if you don’t bring this extra key – you’ll just get better loot if you did. 1 Skeleton Key – While the dungeon should give you the supplies you need prior to reaching a curio that needs something specific, I think I was short by one key.Your starting Crusader should have the “Warrior of Light” quirk, and thus benefits from a well lit dungeon. 8 Torches – If this is your first time playing Darkest Dungeon, I highly recommend keeping the light level 76 or higher.Also, keep in mind that you have a kleptomaniac in your party… Will there only be one hunger check after you loot a surplus of food? Maybe, but to be on the safe side, I would bring 4. 4 Food – The more you traverse in the dungeon, the more frequently a hunger check is rolled.This tutorial is gracious enough to provide what we’ll need, but I would still bring the following: Crusaders will bring a Holy Water, and Plague Doctors will bring an Antivenom. Some classes bring their own supplies (more on this later). What to do, what to do? Extra provisions will be automatically sold at the end of the quest for roughly 10% of its cost at (gold is in increments of 5, so torches and food round down to 5 gold instead of 7).Īs of build #13362, this first venture into the Ruins is an expanded tutorial.
